The innovation and upgrade ability of the product platform is one of the bottlenecks for the enterprises implementing mass customization to retain and enhance the independent innovation capability. In allusion to lack of independent innovation capacity prevailing in Chinese enterprises, Knowledge Management, TRIZ innovation theories and so on were introduced into the product platform innovation and analysis process, and then theories and methods were proposed based on the analysis, organization and application of market and technology knowledge to support the product platform innovation and evolution.
