In 2012, Xiamen Municipal Science and Technology Bureau organized experts to have a two-years-assessment to more than 40 Engineering Technology Research Center in the city,which is the second time for evaluation. Xiamen innovation method engineering technology research center,which replying on the department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, won the outstanding in this evaluation and won the the rolling project grants award of Science and Technology Bureau. Note: in June 2009, approved by the Xiamen Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and Finance Bureau , Xiamen innovation method engineering technology research center(mansion council [2009] no. 28) was builded.It relys on Xiamen University(college of physics and electrical engineering) and aims to bring advanced innovation theory, methods and tools and provide strong innovative technical support for machine manufacturing,automobile and engineering machinery, electronic equipment and other industries in the city.Xiamen innovation method engineering technology research center eagerly responded to the call from Xiamen science and Technology Bureau and the Xiamen Municipal Industrial Research Institute and fully support them,meanwhile,it serves the enterprise technological innovation as its duty and the mechanical and electrical department IDEAL laboratory as the backbone.The center brings together the relevant scientific research strength of the mechanical and electrical department, explores and summarizes the business needs in long - term deepening enterprise research and development and a gleam of manufacturing and combines theoretical research results in order to provide R & D strategic planning, product and process technology innovation, performance testing, enterprise technological innovation personnel training and other services and cooperation for Xiamen construction machinery, bathroom and other key industries. The results are excellent.
